My nail care routine: How to get healthier, stronger nails!

Hi my lovely readers!
Someone requested a nail care routine post (ehh, like a year ago) so today I decided to document my nail care routine for you all. This has really helped my nails not to brake too often (they brake couple of times times a year). I do this at least once a week, but usually three times per week :) I highly recommend all the products shown here, I've bought them all with my own money and they are fabulous!

My nail care routine begins with exfoliating my hands and cuticles: I use absolutely amazing product called Lumoava Lady. This product has sugar and oil in it and it makes my hands feel so soft! This product gets all the dead skin cells off my hands so moisturizers sink in better.

This is what the scrub looks like on my hands:

After scrubbing my hands, I move to a cuticle oil. I really like Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength Cuticle+ Nail Oil. It's the best one I've tried so far. I massage it into my nails and cuticles.

After the oil, I will treat my nails and cuticles with my ULTIMATE FAVOURITE NAIL CARE PRODUCT EVER: Burt's Bees Lemon butter cuticle cream. I've gone through five of these!! I love this product SO much! I have dermatillomania, and having my cuticles in this condition is a miracle! They used to be awful, but this product has healed them and it's hard for me to pick them anymore :)

The next step is to use a hand cream. I adore Soap & Glory's Hand Food. It's quite thick but sinks in fairly quickly. This hand cream is a life saviour during Finnish winter.

Now my hands, nails and cuticles are soft and moisturized so it's easy to push back my cuticles. I use this tool I bought from Bornprettystore. I highly recommend this, it's super effective (and it was super cheap, hehe)!

After pushing back my cuticles, I foe my nails down a bit. I use my trusty glass nail file by Trind. It's five years old and still works like a dream. Please don't use those cheap nail files, invest in a glass file and you'll never go back! Glass files are so much better for your nails.

Unfiled nails ;P
Filed nails :)

The final step to my nail care routine is to apply OPI's Nail Envy before a base coat. Now this product is a total must for everyone who wants stronger nails! I've been using this product for five years and it's crazy how much healthier, thicker and stronger my nails have become (well, you can see the improvement within a month of use, it doesn't take five years xD). I cannot live without this product!

I hope that this post helped you if you suffer from weak nails. I really recommend all of these products with my whole heart :)
Thanks for reading, have a magical day!

My A·B·C

Me and my dear friend Satu wanted to make a collaboration together. Satu came up with the idea of doing a post with our favorite things in life - and incorporating them to the ABC. Please check out Satu's blog, it's awesome!

Audrey Hepburn - the best (female) actor, a style icon, a wonderful person and an inspiration to me.

Boyfriend. I have one,  hihihi :P

Creativity - I consider myself a creative person. I used to go to an art school and I love painting and drawing (even though I'm not very good at it). I also express myself through makeup, I love to transform myself to someone else (i.e Cleopatra).

Disney movies are still my favorite movies! I LOVE DISNEY and one of my dreams is to visit Disneyland one day. My favorite Disney movie is Hercules and my favorite Disney song is I won't say I'm in love (the Finnish version).

Eating - who doesn't love good food?

Family and Friends are the most important people in my life.

Glow Beauty Salon - my own little beauty salon in the heart of Helsinki :)

Helping people makes me so happy :)

Ikea and all things home decor  <3

Joulu = Chistmas in Finnish. I'm totally a Christmas person! I love giving and receiving gifts, the blinking lights and snow!

Koti = Home (in Finnish) is my favorite place to be at. I love snuggling under a warm blanket and watching tv or youtube.

Luna.  He flew away to heaven but he'll stay in my heart forever.

My darling little loaf <3 I can't express how much I miss him.

Makeup is my passion and one of the ways I can express myself.

Nail polish is a bit of an obsession of mine...

Ornaments are so pretty, I have a christmas ornament collection.

Phildel is one of my favorite musicians. This is my favorite song ever:

Q_Q Couldn't think any words starting with the letter Q (that'd actually make sense in this tag) so there's a smiley for you instead.

Rain is so relaxing to listen to when you're going to sleep. I don't like walking in rain without an umbrella though.

Shopping is the best activity ever :D

Me in Dubai mall, the biggest shopping center in the planet

Travelling is the best thing to waste your  money on. I have been traveling ever since I was a little kid so I can't imagine a life without traveling. I've been to around 20 different countries.

Dubai's my favorite place ;)

Unique items. I can't help but love anything unique.

Vintage - I love everything vintage! Flea markets are one of my favorite places to browse around and find some treasures.

Winter is absolutely my favorite season. I love christmas and my birthday is in December too. I love snow and cold weather!

A photo I took in January couple of years ago.

Xylitol is good for your teeth. I love chewing gum that has xylitol in it.

Youtube is my most visited website, I am constantly watching videos. I also have my own channel.

Zzz - I'd consider sleeping as one of my favorite hobbies xD

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed! :) I tag Katariina to do this tag!

Review: The Perfect Eyebrow Kit by Seppälä

Hi my lovely readers!
Today I'm going to review The Perfect Eyebrow Kit from Seppälä.

The Finnish clothing store called Seppälä used to sell WetnWild, however they decided to stop selling W&W and  make their own makeup line instead.

The only product I purchased from the fairly new makeup line was The Perfect Eyebrow Kit, because I  ran out of my eyebrow kit by W&W and I wanted to try out something new. I have been using this product for two months.

I was not impressed with this product. The quality is chalky and after couple of hours the eyebrows are significally faded if you have accidentally rubbed/touched them.
So I don't recommend this product unless you are a beginner with makeup.

See? It's much worse in the actual eyebrows.... Patchy and chalky.

Overall I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

Pros:
+Nice selection of colors for brunettes
+ Good for beginners to practice and use for under 6 hours

Cons:
- Chalky
- Not much pigment
- The wax does absolutely nothing
- Fades away too quickly

I will not repurchase this product.

Thanks for reading, hope this helps! Have a magical day!

Eye of the day and Nails of the day

Hi my lovely readers! Today I decided to share with you my #Eotd &  #Notd ;)

Eyes of the day
(Well I guess this would be considered as face of the day)

Eye makeup: Naked palette's Naked & Buck in the crease, Virgin and Stila's Kitten on the lid and Lucky on the lower lash line. Black gel liner by WetnWild.
Turqoise kohl liner in waterline by Barry M, color: 13

Blush: Benefit's Coralista
Bronzer: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil

Lipstick: Lumene's Raspberry Miracle lipstick shade: 10, Flower Meadow/Niityllä.

These nails were inspired by highlighters. I was taking some notes with my highlighters and thought of this design. It was simple to do. I used China Glazes Flip Flop Fantasy, Orange Knockout and Celtic Sun. I used three very thin coats of each polish. Love the super bright result!

Hope you liked this post, thanks for reading!

Beauty Blogger meet in Tampere & a goodie bag haul!

Just a little excited to go to the meet...

Hi my lovely readers!
Greetings from Tampere! :) I was invited to a meet for Finnish beauty bloggers hosted by the lovely Sanni and Elisa. I absolutely love these meets, because I get to meet all of my awesome blogger friends in one place! I also got to meet some new people, too bad there was 35 of us and I didn't have time to chat with everyone. Maybe next time!

We met at Plevna, a cozy brewery  restaurant. Most of us ate something, but I only drank coffee, since I had already eaten before I got there.

Me before the meet

Sini & me.

Loved the atmosphere!
Thanks for the photo, Eiko from Kahvia ja Kosmetiikkaa-blog! :)

After dining we moved to a different room and listened to three awesome presentations. The kickoff to the presentations was by Lumene, the famous Finnish cosmetic brand (which I personally love). After Lumene, we had a little break and got incredible goodie bags!
We returned to the room, and got to enjoy of Mikko Vainio's hair demo and Zuii Organic's presentation.
